Last month a Jihadist fired four shots at point blank range into the chest of Jerusalem Rabbi Yehuda Glick as he left the Temple Mount area. This assignation attempt was barely a blip on the radar of secular news sources. Those who did report labeled him a “right wing activist.” None of the secular sources reported on Glick’s miraculous healing. His recovery beyond all human reason and the unique role he plays makes me wonder: is the “miracle” Rabbi part of God’s plan to rebuild the Temple?
This morning I read that Iran is threatening direct action against ISIS if the radical state damages any “holy” Shia Muslim shrines in Baghdad. According to the article, it is not clear whether that direct action will involve ground forces. By means of this invasion will Iran fulfill Daniel 8?
To the secular world this is just another mideast headline. Many in the USA, including the current administration, are probably looking forward to Iran playing the role of policeman keeping the “bad boy” ISIS in check. Many are probably relieved to see the USA not having to get involved. What the secular world is clueless about however, is the Biblical significance of an Iranian invasion of the Middle East.

International prophecy teacher and New York Times best-selling author Joel Richardson (Mideast Beast) has just released an eye-opening new DVD “End Times Eyewitness.” Using first person interviews of Mideast leaders and footage from Israel and the surrounding nations, Joel shows eight signs that mark the soon return of Jesus. This is not a sensationalist, “sky is falling” YouTube video, but rather is a thought provoking, biblically solid, “behind the scenes” account of unfolding events in God’s master plan.
Why Should You Buy this DVD?
In the middle of the Olivet Discourse is a strange illustration about vultures and a corpse that the church does not fully understand. Matthew 24:28 (NASB) says, “Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.” It’s my opinion that whenever we don’t comprehend a passage it is likely that a mistaken theology is blocking our understanding. That is the case with this verse. The Church does not grasp this illustration because it refers to the resurrection that will occur after the great tribulation. Their view that the resurrection and rapture occur prior to the tribulation prevents them from seeing what this verse truly means.
In our last post we examined heaven’s perspective of what will occur at the midpiont of the Tribulation. Satan will attempt to usurp God’s throne in Heaven. Michael the Archangel will stand up from his post restraining the Beast from the abyss to do war with Satan and his demons. Michael and the Heavenly Host will overcome Satan and throw him to the Earth. During this heavenly war, the Beast from the abyss will escape to the Earth and possess the Antichrist.
In this post we will discuss what three main events will happen on Earth. The Beast empowered Antichrist will invade Israel and capture Jerusalem, he will kill the Two Witnesses and then will sit in the Temple of God and proclaim himself to be God.

Author: Are We Ready for Jesus? How to prepare for his return (2015)
Time is like a merchant’s scale. Events pile up on the light end until the accumulated weight of them unbalances the scale. We have come to call this the “tipping point.” The seventieth week of Daniel, sometimes known as the “Tribulation,” is divided into two halves of forty two months each. Events at the midpoint of the Tribulation will tip the scale of world history. When this point is reached we will descend into a period of unspeakable horror known as the Great Tribulation or the Time of Jacob’s Distress.
I have heard a sound of terror, of dread, and there is no peace. Ask now, and see if a male can give birth. Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale? ‘Alas! For that day is great, there is none like it; and it is the time of Jacob’s distress, but he will be saved from it. (Jer. 30: 5-7 NASB)
Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13: 35-37 NKJV)
Do we know how to watch for Jesus’ return? What does this command mean and what are it’s implications? The commands to be observant, to see and to watch occur over thirty times in the three versions of Jesus’ primary teaching about his return, the Olivet Discourse (Luke 21, Mark 13 and Matthew 24 and 25.) It is also mentioned numerous other times throughout the New Testament. I discuss these in detail in Chapter Five of my new book Are We Ready for Jesus? due out in early 2015. This command is so central to preparing for his return however, I’d like to briefly discuss it this week.
Most of the western world was shocked by the sudden emergence of ISIS in the spring of 2014, its lightning conquest of northern and western Iraq and the establishment of a caliphate. The question on the minds of many Christians watching for the signs of Jesus’ return has been is ISIS fulfilling prophecy?
Personally I think it is too soon to definatively say that it is. There are numerous hints that it may be however, so it warrents careful observation over the next months and years. In my upcoming book, Are We READY for Jesus? How to prepare for his return I discuss many of these factors in greater detail. The book is anticipated in early 2015.
Many readers are familiar with Mark Davidson who developed the Signpost theory. This theory is clearly articulated in the posts DECEPTION, WAR AND FAMINE and CH- CH- CH- CHANGES on this site. The following is guest blog by Mark himself. This is a great blog about God’s provision through “pruning” us. Please read all the way through it. After Mark’s Blog there is an incredible “and now for the rest of the story” moment.
How the Signpost Message and Davidson Got Tied to the Shemitah
Today many New Yorkers celebrated as One World Trade Center opened for business. The new 1776 foot (symbolism intended) tower was built on the site of the former Twin Towers destroyed by Islamic terrorists on 9/11. Many in this nation were relieved to finally have the scar of those attacks “rebuilt” and a chapter in New York’s history closed.
To me however, there is an eerie similarity between the new tallest building in the USA and an ancient tower. These similarities make me think of it as a Modern Tower of Babel.
