Gay Marriage and the Star of Bethlehem

UPDATE 10/14/2015: The sign described below is being repeated in the sky again this month. On 10/25/15 Jupiter and Venus will come within 1 degree of conjunction; again in the constellation of Leo. This can be seen in the early morning hours in the eastern sky.

Yes, I know this is an absolutely crazy title for a blog, but sit tight,  God is revealing signs in the stars that are amazing.

There will be signs in sun and moon and stars. (Luke 21: 25)

We are living in times when the Bible is being fulfilled before our eyes.  Let us begin with the sign.  Look up in the  west-northwest sky right after sundown tonight.  Venus and Jupiter will be in conjunction in the near vincinty of Leo the Lion and Cancer.  To scientists this is “ho-hum” stuff. Nothing too exciting; just another 3 degree of separation conjuction. This the second of three conjunctions of these planets in a 2 year period.  Two thousand years ago there was a similar series of three conjunctions of these planets. I wrote about that earlier grouping in CHRISTMAS AND THE END TIMES.  During one of those conjuctions, Venus and Jupiter actually “touched” visually.  There was zero degrees of separation.  Many consider the combination of astrologic signs during 3 BC to be the “Star of Bethlehem.”  Read about that amazing group of signs in the link.

This week’s sign isn’t as spectacular. Most Christians are ignoring it just like the scientists.  Let’s look at the sign in detail, however. During the “Star of Bethlehem” sign in 3 BC, the planets visually touched signifying “He is here! The King is born.”  During tonight’s sign the planets almost touch signifying “He’s almost here!  The King is coming.” At at least that’s what it says to me.

Next let’s look at the position of the conjunction.

Notice that the conjunction is right below Leo the Lion and the star Regulus.  If you read the link above about CHRISTMAS AND THE END TIMES, you probably remember that Jupiter (the King planet) and Regulus (the King Star) had mulitiple conjunctions in Leo (the Messiah’s constellation) back in 3BC.  Look at the picture, this isn’t a random, everyday conjunction, it is in Leo.  This picture screams “King, King Messiah” (astronomically at least.)  Right along side Leo is Cancer the Crab.  In the Jewish Mazzaroth (the Zodiac constellations that tell God’s story of Redemption in perfect order), Cancer is the constellation of the Tribulation (70th Week of Daniel.)  Yes, it is coming as well.

Not only is the Star of Bethlehem mentioned in the Gospels, it is mentioned in the Old Testament as well.

I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near; A star shall come forth from Jacob, A scepter shall rise from Israel, And shall crush through the forehead of Moab, And tear down all the sons of Sheth. Edom shall be a possession, Seir, its enemies, also will be a possession, While Israel performs valiantly. One from Jacob shall have dominion, and will destroy the remnant from the city (Num. 24: 17-19)

This passage is about the end times!  It is always quoted in regard to Jesus’s birth (and rightly so as well), but look! Jesus is taking the iron septer and crushing the Islamic nations Moab and Edom.  This is end times stuff.

So where is “come forth from Jacob” exactly.

Judah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who dares rouse him up?  The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes. (Gen. 49: 9-10)

Look, there is the Lion (Leo) and the scepter from the previous prophecy.  Now look at the location “between the feet” of the Lion.  Look at the star map again.  This week’s “Star of Bethlehem” conjunction is between the feet of Leo!  The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is a title for Christ taken from this passage.

Now let’s examine the timing.  June seems a boring month, what Christian significance could it possibly have?  We follow the Greogorian calendar.  God’s calendar is different; it’s the Hebrew calendar.  Hebrew dates are important.  This month is the month of Tammuz.  Last Friday, June 26th, the day the Supreme Court decided the Same Sex Marriage case, was the Hebrew day the 9th of Tammuz.  This is the historic date that King Nebuchadnezzar breached the walls of Jerusalem when the Babylonians invaded.  In a parallel way, the Supreme Court breached the walls of morality with this historic decision.

The 17th of Tammuz (our July 4th this year) is one of the darkest days of Jewish history.  Five historic events occured on this day:

  • The worship of the golden calf
  • The stopping of Temple sacrifices
  • The breaching of the walls of Jerusalem in 70 AD by the Romans
  • The burning of a Torah scroll prior to Bar Kokhba’s revolt by Roman military leader Apostomus; and
  • An idol was erected in the Temple

Look at these events: idols in the Temple, worship of the Golden Calf, and the burning of the Torah (Bible).  Our culture is worshiping their idols and attempting to minimalize scripture.

“The Three Weeks” begins after the 17th of Tammuz and concludes with the Ninth of Av, the date that the Temple was burned both in 586 BC and 70 AD.  This is a time of Jewish national mourning.  July 25th is the Ninth of Av this year.  Will anything of significance happen?  We don’t know.

Right in the middle of this time period is this conjuction that mirrors the Star of Bethlehem right between the feet of the Lion.  Is God speaking to us? Is it time to get ready for the return of our King?

  1. Very ear-tickling. When nothing happens on the Ninth of Av, will you issue a retraction? Or will you take refuge behind your bet-hedging lines, “Will anything of significance happen? We don’t know.”

    1. I am not a prophet. I can’t predict the future, I only can interpret what real prophets have told us in the Bible. What I do know is many events of significance will happen on Jewish Feast days (Mo’edim) and important days in Jewish history. Whether this 9th of Av is significant or not, only time will tell.

  2. Hello Nelson, Thank you for opening up your blog to the rest of us. I’m grateful for guys like You, Mark Davidson, Mark Biltz , Jonathan Cahn and many others for warning us of the coming judgements.

It’s clear to see that Ezekiel was a watchman for Israel, so to warn them of the coming judgement, but I also believe Paul was saying the same thing to us in Hebrews.
God does not want us to shrink back no matter what our part may be.

    Ezekiel’s warning

Renewal of Ezekiel’s Call as Watchman
33 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, 4 then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head. 5 Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’

7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.

10 “Son of man, say to the Israelites, ‘This is what you are saying: “Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of[b] them. How then can we live?”’ 11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

12 “Therefore, son of man, say to your people, ‘If someone who is righteous disobeys, that person’s former righteousness will count for nothing. And if someone who is wicked repents, that person’s former wickedness will not bring condemnation. The righteous person who sins will not be allowed to live even though they were formerly righteous.’ 13 If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done. 14 And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right— 15 if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil—that person will surely live; they will not die. 16 None of the sins that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.

17 “Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just. 18 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. 19 And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. 20 Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”

    Paul,s warning,

A Call to Persevere in Faith
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[e] 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For,

    “In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
    and will not delay.”[f]
    38 And,

“But my righteous[g] one will live by faith.
    And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”[h]
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

    BJ & Alisa

    1. BJ & Alisa: I don’t usually allow posts that are this long, BUT, the scriptures within it are among my favorites, and they may encourage the Body. BTW, Paul may not be the author of Hebrews. There are textual clues that it may be someone else. However, that really doesn’t matter because the Holy Spirit is the true author anyway. Who the “writer” was is just a matter of intellectual interest.

  3. Why do you think there has been such a correlation throughout history between bad things happening and significant dates on the biblical calendar? For example, I’ve heard that many bad things have happened to the Jewish people on the 9th of Av throughout history. If God is not the cause of bad things happening (because God is good), then why does it seem like His hand is orchestrating everything to happen on certain dates on the calendar? It almost seems like all of these things are “predestined” to happen, instead of happening because of people’s random sinful choices.

  4. Not just Christians believe that lawlessness is a sign of the end-times. Muslims do too; and they especially see the increase of homosexuality as a sign of the end-times:

“another of the signs indicating the approach of end times is the prevalence of homosexuality. Yet another is that the virtuous will be despised for their beliefs. And that is exactly what is happening in the U.S today. Those who speak out in defense of marriage between a man and a woman, guided by their faith, are being characterized as homophobes. (…) The morality of the Presidential Office has been compromised. The country that was once held high as a beacon of light is not quite as bright. Only the Creator knows the time of our judgment but if we continue down this slippery slope, many believe that this day will likely come soon.”

The whole article is worth a read.

I fear that because of example of POTUS, more christians will follow, either in supporting immorality, or in becoming silent out of fear. I also fear that this example of “The West” will push more muslims who are afraid of the influence of Western immorality into extreme groups like ISIS.

    1. Adamant, this is a well written comment. I especially like your final statement that the immorality of the west may push more Muslims to ISIS and other such groups. I hadn’t considered that but you are correct.

  5. In September 23, 2015: (1.) The next Shemittah (economic collapse) Is going to happen. (2.) Start of next year of Jubilee. (3.) Rosh Hashanah. (4.) Beginning of the “Days of Awe” (5.) Beginning of the 10 days before “Yom Kippur”, or “Day of Attonement”. (6.) Ends a period of time when “The king is in the field” (7.) Ends a period of time known as the “the month of the bride” And the NINTH event to take place is the LAST ECLIPSE.

In September 21: International day of peace will be happening. (Thessalonians 5:3) “Peace and safety then sudden destruction”. In September 22-23: Yom Keppur/Day of Atonement (leviticus 16:29). September 23: (1.) CERN will be completed. They are trying to open a “portal” for the new “Alien gods” to come through. The VATICAN officially named 2015 the “Year of light” which translate into “The year of LUCIFER”. Another thing happening in September 23: The Pope meets with Obama in the White house. This si the fall equinox in which there are 12 hours of day light. Possibly a reference to John 11:9, Revelation 13? September 24: The pope will speak at the Joint session of congress making it the first time any pope has done so.

September 25: The prime minister of France has announced in 2014 that we had 500 days until CLIMATE chaos. THAT LANDS US IN SEPTEMBER. Pope Francis also speaks at the United nations. (Revelations 13 reference).
September 26: Pope francis speaks at the “Festivals of Families”, in Philadelphia. And in September 28 THE LAST BLOOD MOON HAPPENS (Luke 21:25; Genesis 1:14; Joel 2:31).

There wont be another 4 blood moons in a row again for another 300-500 years. The last times all 4 blood moons took place VERY important events happened to Israel, Jerusalem, and the world in general. GOOD LUCK.

    1. Hey Kris, all the things you mention are interesting but not mentioned in the Bible. That doesn’t mean they don’t have possible validity, they may. That is why I’ve been preparing. I don’t teach on these things however, because without Biblical support they may be false flags. My ministry tries to stay focused on the Bible and what it says. There are plenty of other ministries focusing on current events and signs such as these. The reason I chose to write about the Star of Bethlehem sign is that it does have some biblical basis as I wrote about.

You mention Joel 2:31 as support for Blood moons. That verse is absolutely NOT related to the Blood Moons. It is related to the Celestial Earthly Disturbance that occurs at the sixth seal of Revelation (sixth year of Daniel’s 70th Week). We aren’t there yet. Notice the verse says God will display his “wonders.” This is the same word used in Exodus for when God described the plagues he brought on Pharaoh and the parting of the Red Sea. I observed a blood moon last year, didn’t see earth shaking happening. There are many prophecies to be fulfilled prior to Joel 2:30-31, all of Daniel 8 for instance before the 70th Week, and then Matt. 24, Luke 21, Rev. 4,5,6, etc.

This is not to say Blood Moons aren’t a sign. They may be. They just don’t appear to be a biblical sign. I take the Shmita seriously enough to prepare; just not to teach on it.

  6. Well, here is another piece of trivia for you Nelson. Joel will be doing three speaking sessions on the 9th of Av (July 25) @ El Shaddi Ministries with Mark Blitz. You can watch and listen via livestream Internet. 🙂

  7. Nelson, I don’t know about the timetable. That was what I was asking. But do keep an open mind. If you are a Bible student then you will see a LOT of three levels in it. Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Man: Spirit, soul, body. Tabernacle: Outer Court, Inner Court, Holy oh Holies. Major Feasts: Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles. Solomon”s retaliations: Virgins, Queens, The Bride. Jesus had followers: The multitude, the 70, the 12. Jesus had disciples: The twelve, the three, the one. And there is more. Throughout the Bible there are three levels of commitment and/or relationship…. “There are some 30, some 60, and some 100 fold”. I believe the Manchild is a select few out of the church who are wise and make themselves ready, not just looking for an escape (rapture). That is why the woman gives birth to them. And Paul talk about a better resurrection.

    1. Susie, I’m not completely understanding what you are saying. What I do know (and most commentators agree) is that the woman in Rev. 12 is Israel (Sarah). She gave “birth” to Messiah. The better resurrection is the resurrection of the righteous that occurs at the time of the rapture. Rev. 20: 5-6 tells us there are two resurrections and Rev. 20: 11-15 pictures the second resurrection. The Greek word you translate “Man” is actually ARSEN meaning “male” not mature man, just “male.” I hope these explanations help.

    2. Susie, you say “I believe the Manchild is a select few out of the church who are wise and make themselves ready”.

If by “make themselves ready”, you mean receive Christ’s gift of righteousness by putting their trust in his sacrifice for the full and final payment of their sins, fine! But your reference to a “select few” gives me cause to doubt that’s what you mean. And if my doubts are justified, you need to take another look into how we are saved.

  8. Has anyone thought about the star of Bethlehem, seen this week for the first time in 2000 years (since March of 3BC) could be an indication of a child being born? A Manchild? This heavenly anomaly is not perfect as the one when Jesus was born, but it is a knock off, just like the Manifested Sons are to be. What does this mean? “Unto us a child is born. A Savior, Emanuel (God with us)”. Not ‘the Savior’ (who is Jesus), but a savior, just like a hero. A little anointed one (the meaning of Christian).
I was pondering Perry Stone’s message about the Jesus’s return actually coming to fruition around 2033, and realized God has definite patterns. Jesus was born but it took 33 years for him to accomplish his destiny (laying down his sinless life in total obedience to take back what Adam had given away). Now, a Manchild is born. It may take 30 years for that company of people to come into their ministry properly, then to give their own lives, following the pattern according to what God establishes. He is an orderly God. He created and runs everything by math. We just need to wake up and see the patterns. The USA is in trouble. But just like other superpowers who fell, it was not the end of the world. Christians, and non, in the USA seem to think everything evolves around them, but it doesn’t. It evolves around the Kingdom of God being established on the earth.
One day Jesus will rule in love during the millennium when he returns, and those who have made themselves ready (through total obedience) will rule and reign with Him here as his bride. That bride is the Manchild, the New Jeruselum, the ‘Overcomers’ who have totally decreased so God increased. A knock off to Emmanuel….God with us in the earth !

    1. Susie, that is certainly an interesting theory, but I have a couple problems with it. Primarily I have a problem with date setting as Mr. Stone has done. What if Jesus comes earlier than this date? His followers aren’t ready. What if Jesus comes later? My Stone is discredited. (This has happened many times in history). That is why Jesus gave us signs (the Olivet Discourse) to follow NOT a sure date. My new book due out August 28th goes into this thinking in great detail. If you are implying that the manchild in Rev. 12 is the Church, I have a problem with that as well. The manchild is taken to heaven before the persecution of the Jews and the 1260 days. This is not consistent with scripture that shows the rapture AFTER the persecution begins. The manchild is Jesus, pretty clearly. Also the Church was born on Pentecost (one of the fulfillments of the 7 mo’edim). This pretty much shoots any idea of a manchild being born now in the end times.

Interesting theory, however. We always need to keep an open mind and explore new theories.

  9. Nelson,
Your comment to Janae is correct, they do love the world more than they fear Jesus. Psalm 103:2 says Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; They teach these benefits are worldly wealth and that God will bless you no matter how you live.

They neglect to read the entire psalm

    Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
    6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
    nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
    they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
    who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the Lord, all his works
everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord, my soul.

  10. Why do you think so many Christians dread the end, don’t want to talk about prophecy, and don’t really seem to look forward to Christ’s kingdom?

    1. Janae, I can only surmise, but IMO they love the world more than Jesus. When my wife and I were engaged we lived in different states. I couldn’t wait for our wedding day. If we aren’t excited about the wedding day of the Church we must question our devotion to the bridegroom. Yes, we may face a brief hour of trial but the end is worth it; it’s our blessed hope.

I have an entire chapter devoted to this topic and the Christians’ role in the return of the King in my new book.

      1. So because you’re afraid of what will happen means that you love the world more? I don’t think so. I’m not perfect by any means, but I do my VERY best to be a good person; the kind of person I think God would want me to be. I pray to him every night. I don’t feel as though I love the world more because I know that it is not what it should be (a very messed up place), and I’m still kind of scared as to what “the end” will be like.

        1. Vanni, If we are completely honest, all of us have trepidation about what is to come. Even Jesus sweated blood on the night he was to be betrayed. You shouldn’t interpret your fear as lack of faith. Fear is different from preferring this life over life with Jesus when he reigns over the earth.

This is a very important issue and my new book due out August 28 deals with that topic in detail in Chapter 4. It discusses our attitudes and how they are important aspect of getting “Ready For Jesus.”

  11. It’s a couple of stars that were there a billion years before man invented God and will be there a billion years after man ceases to exist. Get on and enjoy what you have which is one short life.

    1. Actually Michael the age of the universe is 6000 years NOT billions of years. Starlight is one of those aspects that “catch” scientists in a trap given the speed of light and the distance between galaxies. Humanists think evenything now is the way it has always been and that is a dangerous assumption. If you would like to test your theories of the age of the universe and the earth, I suggest you log onto You may be surprised.

As for man inventing God (not vice versa), I know that deep in your heart you know that is not true even though you say it is. God explains it this way:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. (Rom 1: 18-19)

We can supress the truth of God that is screaming inside us by acting unrighteously, but that that spark is still there. Romans 1 is a great read, open a Bible and read this entire section, it is eye-opening. Do yourself a favor and check out the website I suggested. It is definately worth your time.

  12. Its a good article with alot of non truths…biblically..Christmas for one is not a true biblical reference. When writing scriptural truths one should not include pagan references.

    1. Loree, I wish you had actually read the article CHRISTMAS AND THE END TIMES. There you would have seen that I postulate the birth of Christ probably happened on Yom Teruah, one of the Feasts of the Lord. The day we celebrate “Christmas” is not a biblically correct date, but I didn’t say it was.

  13. This is the end. We have so many signs infront of us. Its clear to see! Guys we got to be ready. Before its too late. Or those who want to know how to be ready here It Is…Repent from your ways and be baptize in Jesus name. Recieve gods gift of the holy ghost and believe that jesus is lord and believe in the kjv bible and believe in the gospel and obey it. Every word of it. Please make ypur decision now before its too late.

    1. What you mention is primary Elizabeth; nothing is more important, but there is much more to being ready. That’s why I wrote the book. I can’t wait to share it with you.

        1. The conversion from death to life at salvation is the most important preparation anyone can make. It is not the only preparation, however. Jesus’s simple statement that “he who endures to the end will be saved” shows there is much more to it.

    1. June, everyone is going to think your question is a set-up. My new book is Are We Ready For Jesus: How to Prepare for His Return. The official release date is August 28 by Seraphina Press. It’s hard to answer in a comments section what took a book to assemble. If you haven’t already, follow this blog and you’ll get info on the book as that date draws near.

  14. Do you have any comments on the five blood moons or the shemita ?
This is very interesting to me because God does use nature to reveal his plans.

    1. I have mixed feelings on the Shmita and the Blood Moons. There is a great deal of circumstantial historic data to support both theories and not one shred of Biblical evidence. I’m a Bible-first guy, so I take a wait and see approach and don’t teach on them. From a practical, personal perspective, my family is preparing as if the USA will be judged this fall. I recommend we all do this.

      1. Please explain Mr Waters. What do you mean “my family is preparing….” Do you believe something will happen this fall? What will happen?
I read your posts and believe we are in the “last days” as you believe but I haven’t heard of what’s coming this fall.
        God Bless you friend.

        1. If I knew what (if anything) is coming this fall, Steve, I could hang a “prophet” sign outside my door. I’m no prophet so I don’t know. What I do know is folks like Rabbi Michael Cahn (“The Harbinger”) and others are predicting a possible collapse of the US or even the world economic system. In my new book, I discuss a number of secular economists who are projecting a world wide depression from 2015 to 2020 as well. Based on these things I have been storing cash alternatives, food and water. The kind of things any prudent person would do if they knew if was possible that the economic system would collapse. If it doesn’t collapse now, we know it will in the third year of the 70th Week of Daniel where ever Jesus predicted Famine as part of the Birth Pangs. I am working on that analysis right now for a book due out next year or the year after.

  15. You said you think we are very close to the end. What things do you believe still have to happen before the end? Mark Davidson’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th sign posts?

  16. Don’t forget Pope signed treaty w Palestinians recognizing them as a state from Israel land too Friday. Go figure how that was covered up because of the gay marriage decision. Think about the false peace treaty from Daniel. Makes me wonder and pray.

  17. If churchs are forced to allow gays to be married within their walls or risk losing tax exempt status, then it is no different that the idol being erected in the temple.

    1. Tax exemption will be the least of our worries! Pastors will go to jail for refusing to allow this abomination in their churches.

  18. I just can’t wait when the Messiah will reign the earth. Matthew 6:10 “They kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.” and Isaiah 9:6-7 ” For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. 7. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Hallelujah!

  19. Nelson, I really like your posts and although I don’t think a Venus/Jupiter conjunction was the “Star of Bethlehem” (something else in 6BC was, in my opinion) I do think your article has merit because the conjunction last night is still a SIGN in the sky at a time when history is going badly…

But I do want to correct one thing: I am confident that the Babylonians destroyed the Jewish Temple in 584 BC. I know many historians say 586BC but they are incorrectly mixing Babylonian and Jewish information and attributing a Babylonian method for reckoning the start of a king’s reign – backdating to the previous Nisan 1 in the spring – when Jeremiah would have POST-dated the reign to the upcoming Tishri 1. Since the throne was probably taken approximately the 5th of Cheshvan (October) – this leads to an 18 month discrepancy which has many historians quoting the wrong year. All very understandable – applying clear Babylonian recordkeeping to Jeremiah’s statement about what year of the king’s reign events happened in – but without understanding that you can’t take Jeremiah’s comment of the 19th year and assume it is the same year the Babylonians called the 19th year.

I dwell on this only because I feel it is important to understanding the timing of Christ’s Return. If we understand the Babylonians destroyed the Jewish Temple in 584 BC, we can see that the Muslims started construction of a mosque there 1260 years later in 677 AD (no year zero) and that 1290 years later the Israelis liberated the Temple Mount in 1967. I believe that Daniel’s 1335 ended 45 years later in 2012, and that the final seven years that follow end in 2019. I believe that adding one 49 year jubilee to the June 6-7, 1967 liberation of East Jerusalem (along with many other clues as well) leads exactly to June 6, 2016 – a 6/6/6 type date when Venus (the Morningstar, aka Lucifer) will be behind (opposite, anti-) the Sun (symbolizing Christ) when I expect to identity of the Antichrist to be fully revealed to the entire world.

We are experiencing signs because we are close to the end. If anyone is interested in more details on how I reached my timeline, read:
    End Times and 2019
    Antichrist 2016-2019

    1. David, you may be correct about the timing of the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem. I am a Bible interpreter not that much of an historian. About the 1260 and 1290 days being years is a stretch, a big stretch, especially adding 1260 plus 1290 but then not doing this with 1335.

I interpret them as days, just as the Bible says, and I’m writing a second book in which I have a section on these days. The precision of how those number of days fits with the Hebrew Calendar and prophesied events is astonishing.

However, I try to keep an open mind about these things. Your comment about being close to the end is correct IMO. I think we are very close. Jesus said when we “see” the Abomination of Desolation flee. That is a take it to the bank sign and number of days remaining (1260).

    1. Jimmy, I assume this comment is in regard to my reference to the month of Tammuz. Please see my more detailed response on this to Phil Mayo. Yes, God’s calendar is His. Our Gregorian calendar is a man-made calendar. The summary of my response to Phil was: when significant events occur on feasts or dates from biblical history AND the modern event parallels the historic, I take notice. This has nothing to do with Israel or Judaism, it has to do with God and His calendar. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Why should he change his calendar which he instituted? As I mentioned to Phil, we are free from observing the Jewish holidays and Levitical laws, but that doesn’t mean I don’t keep on eye on the calendar.

      1. Since the gentiles are grafted in shouldn’t the actions of the gentiles matter too? There is no longer a wall separating us because God made one people out of two.

  20. The relationship between the Supreme Court ruling and 9th of Tammuz might be significant if it were the Israeli Supreme Court, but why do you think a ruling made in the USA would have anything to do with Bible prophecy?

    1. Phil this is an excellent question. We are so used to the Gregorian calendar that many times we forget what calendar the early Church used. They used the Hebrew calendar. It is the calendar instituted by God. The Gregorian calendar was institued in the 1500’s by Pope Gregory the xiii. The first three Feasts of the Lord found on the Hebrew Calendar were fulfilled by Jesus. The fourth was fulfilled by the Holy Spirit on Pentacost (a Jewish Feast) by infilling the Church. The final three feasts will be fulfilled when Jesus returns and will also all involve the Church. Paul tells us in Romans 11 that we are grafted into the roots of Judaism. We are “free” from having to celebrate these appointed times as Christians, but that doesn’t mean God’s prophetic calendar still won’t be fulfilled on dates from Bible history and on Feast days.

So when something significant happens on a Jewish feast or a day of great historic biblical significance, I for one take notice. When that event happening in modern times parallels the historic occurance, I really take notice. Are these things signs? I believe they might be. They might be warning signs. Certainly when the 70th Week of Daniel begins, I believe everything of significance will happen on Jewish feasts and historic days. Daniel’s 1260, 1290, 1335 and 2300 days are all examples. At some point, I will share how these days match up perfectly with the Jewish calendar.

      1. Great article and really nice job noting the correlating dates on the Hebrew calendar. But Why would you want to be free from “having to celebrate” God’s appointed feasts? They are Biblical appointed times of celebration for Israel and for the sojourner…that means us! and we GET to celebrate them as well! Try it…you’ll like it!

        1. Personally my family and I DO celebrate the feasts. My house church had 30 for passover this year. However, Christians are not obligated to celebrate. “Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.” Col. 2: 16.

          1. I am Messianic and anyone who is a believer or God’s is required to follow the Moedim-appointed times and the dietary law, Yeshua said that nothing would be changed.

          2. Denise, Praise God that you know Yehoshua. I celebrate the mo’edim, but as I stated earlier, I think we are free not to; this applies to the Levitical Law in general. IMO, Jesus did not say nothing will be changed. He said, “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.” (Matt. 5:17 NASB) The purpose of the law is to show us our need for a savior. We cannot fulfill the law on our own. It acts like a mirror to show us our own sin. Only through the perfect life of Jesus and his righteousness that we obtain thru his shed blood can we be made righteous before God. Jesus fulfilled the law for us and we obtain his righteousness by faith.

I recommend you read Gal. 2:11-21. Pray, study, and meditate what that passage means. None less than Peter and Barnabas slipped in this area.

        2. We are free from having too take part, But that don’t mean that we don’t wish /want too.
As in Circumcision we are freed from it, But we might just wish too for the protection of our health.
I as a Christian I wish to acknowledge the Hebrew 10 commandments also The Lords Day and keep it holy (Saturday) NOT Sunday worship.
We are free to eat what we wish But we might wish to eat kosher.
And many other regulations in scripture, Jesus said that He came to fore-fill the scriptures.
The Bible is our work shop manual and should be followed for our daily life.
Not just the bits we wish to, or the bits we personally believe in. Believe it all or none at all.

          1. Well, scripture says what ever you do, do it onto the Lord. Don’t judge each other about what & when to eat or not to eat, or celebrate for the Lord. All is the Lord’s, and all is ours since we are His children. Only the ppl that are against Him are judged by a law, but His children are free because we are His, and everything is ours thru Christ’s inheritance. 🙂

I think that we need to get this straight so that we are truly free and not be ensnared by any form of slavery. Slavery does not exist in the kingdom of God. It is pure and free from the ways of this world.

      2. So is it significant that gay marriage was legalized in Canada on July 20th 2005? (the 13th day of Tamuz which is celebrated as the festival of liberation, along with the 12th day of Tamuz )

        1. IMO what you mention has zero significance. That “holiday” is the liberation of a 19th century rabbi by the Russians. It isn’t part of the Hebrew calendar, it is a minor Israeli holiday. It is not a biblical holiday or fast. Significant events falling on Biblical Holidays or appointed times on God’s calendar catch my attention. A previous commenter wrote about a Gregorian date, 6/6/16. God can do anything he wants, but historically He has used biblical dates for significant events, so I find it doubtful Gregorian dates are of any significance either.

“Liberation Day” is the opposite of Gay Marriage anyway. It marks the further enslavement of people to sin. It breaks God’s heart. Romans discusses the decent into unrighteousness:

Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator. (Rom. 1:24-25 NASB)

The first step is exchanging the truth of God for a lie. Then they worship the creature (man) rather than God. They trust what seems right to man rather than trusting God’s Word on how he designed life to be. Next God’s Word explains the Gay Pride agenda:

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. (Rom. 1:26-27 NASB)

This penalty is the knowledge deep inside the homosexual that what they are doing is degrading themselves which causes deep seeded turmoil; yet they cannot overcome it because they have been given over to it. In my opinion, this is the source of all the Gay Pride agenda. They struggle with this internal turmoil and try to get laws and culture to accept their activity as normal, not realizing the internal turmoil is God’s penalty. Laws won’t undo the turmoil. Only repentance will undo it. It is slavery to sin. Obviously not liberation.

There is a liberator, however. Jesus the Holy One. Paul opens the passage we looked at with there words, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom. 1:16 NASB). Only the power of God can set the captive free. Let us all pray for those in bondage. Let us express the love of Christ to them. It isn’t an “us against them culture war,” its Christ against Satan. Those in bondage are Satan’s hostages. Let us work and pray to set them free.

          Hope that helps.

          1. The only deep seated turmoil I face comes from knowing that people such as yourself still exist. You cling to your ancient beliefs simply because you are afraid of the fire and brimstone that isn’t there. And to keep your outdated worldview relevant you must claim that marriage between people is simple prophecy, rather than progress towards a better and more free nation and world.

          2. Blaine, God granted us free will, so obviously the freedom to choose a lifestyle is a God given right that all men (and women) possess. This doesn’t mean that our choices don’t entail consequences. Your Words betray you, however. The source of your anger is internal; not based on what another believes. You and I may disagree on the existence of God, but in the end I pray for your well being even if your beliefs cost me my freedom or even my life. Why do we have such different reactions to the other?

If you are brave enough to challenge and examine your non-belief, read a book called “The Case For Christ” by Lee Strobel. You will find it interesting. Lee came to faith in God in his 30’s just like I did. He was a pretty radical non-believer before he examined the proof or lack thereof of God’s existence. If you read my post right before this one, it is about my Dad and how he came to faith at 84 years young. I think deep, true faith is often birthed out of doubt. Once that doubt is challenged and the truth is revealed, amazingly profound faith can result. That is my prayer for you on your journey through this life.

      3. Yes, but why do you think that something that happened in America should have any more significance than something happening anywhere else in this world? Homosexuals have been breaching barriers of morality in many countries. What’s so special about America? Do you subscribe to this idea that America has some sort of covenant relationship, similar to that of Israel?

        1. You are absolutely correct Phil, that Israel and especially Jerusalem are the focus of end time events. But God has a plan (not a covenant) for the gentile nations as well, especially this one founded on Christian principals whose motto is “in God we trust.” A sign occurring in the stars that mimics what was a portion of the probable Star of Bethlehem should warrant all of our attention, and cause us to ask “is God saying something to us?”

          1. I think there is a lot of deception in the American Church regarding the “founded on Christian principals” issue. You only need to take a walk around your capital city to see the influence was Freemasonary. Whilst it’s an unarguable fact that Christianity has flourished in America, the god they speak of trusting in isn’t Jesus Christ.

I think these signs in the heavens may very well be pointing us to prophetically significant happenings. But I don’t think they have much to do with any particular nation’s moral decline.

This article by Michael Snyder is worth reading. Whilst he does point to a lot of American internal issues, he also mentions international happenings that affect Israel, which I think are of far more significance…

  21. i usually see venus but last night i noticed her with a small star atop her…. it was a weird yet beautiful sight

  22. Welcome Lord Jesus, please take us with you out of this bubbling sewer as soon as possible. This is not our home any more.
