What will be the Image of the Beast? What does scripture tell us? In Daniel 3, Nebuchadnezzar built an image of gold. Is this a biblical picture of the coming image?
In the very second Psalm, God gives us a picture of the titanic struggle that will take place between His Messiah and the Anti-Messiah (Antichrist) during the final 3 1/2 year Period Jesus called the Times of the Gentiles. It will be Psalm 2: Christ versus Antichrist.
The ancient Thessalonians were sent a letter that turned out to have been a forgery. This letter caused great concern in their church; in response, Paul wrote an epistle (2 Thessalonians) that forms the basis of much of what we know about the Day of the Lord. The ancient forgery has long been thrown on the trash heap of time, but 2 Thessalonians is a must read section of scripture for every Christian.

Daniel’s Great Vision Prophecy PART IV
In our previous 3 posts on Daniel’s final, great vision in chapters 10-12, we learned that Satan tried to stop Daniel from receiving this prophecy. By carefully studying it, we can see why. It gives an amazingly detailed description of the Antichrist, and even details the career of the Antichrist before the Great Tribulation. This passage also places events in chronological order so we can view other prophecies in Daniel, Matthew and Revelation in proper sequence.
DANIEL’S GREAT VISION PROPHECY

Daniel 11 contains some of the Bible’s most specific prophecies. Theologians have attempted for centuries to determine which segments of this prophecy are strictly historic and what prophecies in Daniel 11 are yet to be fulfilled.
The Book of Daniel contains many key prophecies about the time before the Return of Jesus. Interspersed between these prophetic visions are stories about the life of Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. If you look at these stories closely it becomes apparent that they act like parables to teach spiritual life lessons. Looking at them even closer, one notices that each one of the stories are an Old Testament type or foreshadow of what is to come during the Great Tribulation, the last three and a half years prior to Jesus’ return. I find it immensely interesting that the the prophet who gave us some of the most detailed information about the time before Jesus’ return lived a life that foreshadowed some of the very events he prophesied about.
Because the original Hanukkah most likely foreshadows events of the Great Tribulation, it is a great extra-biblical study. Although the story is found in 1 and 2 Maccabees, which are found in the apocrypha and aren’t in the canon of scripture, Jesus celebrated the holiday in Jerusalem (John 10:22 ) and the book of Daniel foretells some of its events. For these reasons although we cannot call the story “scripture”, it is a study of great interest. Those aspects of the story that related to the foreshadows of the Great Tribulation are of most interest to me and there are hints within the story as to a link between Hanukkah and the future Abomination of Desolation. These hints are further evidence that the Antichrist will be Islamic. Before we look at the links between Hanukkah and the Tribulation , let’s discuss the entire story.
